Cake slicer

The cake slicer uses ultrasound technology to cut ice cream and ice cream-like cakes into wedge-shaped or square pieces starting from a round or rectangular form. The machine has a conveyor belt and a vision guidance system which, interfaced with a 6-axis anthropomorphic robot, provides all information required to perform the various operations. The machine is completed with a particular centring device specifically designed by B.S. to ensure that the portions of cake — whether wedge-shaped or rectangular — are all the same. The machine can make 40 cuts/min. and the number of pieces depends on the desired number of slices of cake, the shape and size of the cake and the type of process to be performed. The machine can have one or more robots or may be robot-free having only a centring device and ultrasound blade. The colour operator panel, complete with keyboard, can be used to manage the various process changes and store them in recipes to be recalled later. The machine has all necessary guards and safety devices and its design includes everything required for fast cleaning and maintenance.
